Magic Waters!

Dean and I decided to take a day off work yesterday to go to Magic Waters here in town. ^_^ It was nice. It wasnt quite as big as I remember it but it was still fun. We rode all the slides and played in the wave pool and the lazy river. I think we spent about 4 hours there total. XD I got the sh!t burnt out of me even with SPF 50 sun screen. Ah well. It stings a little bit but I'll live. ^_^ I also ended up tearing a 1/4 of my pinkie finger nail off. O_o That hurt REALLY BAD. But its okay now. Still a bit tender.

Farmer's Market...

Dean and I went to the Farmer's Market today in Madison. It was lots of fun. It reminded me of how it must have been in the Forum Romana at one time. Complete with flute music and a mime. ^_^ And it even took place around the capital building. They had TONS of awesome "hippy" stores and really old book stores and EVEN at art store. YAY. I ended up spending a little over $60 at the art store but other then that not much else. OH! Dean and I found this AWESOME CD, DVD, Video Game, Book store!! They had lots of old SNES games (No, no Super Bomberman) NES games, Game Gear, Sega Saturn, CD, Genesis, Dream Cast. Along with old Atari games and game boy, GBC, GBA, and DS. They even had this generic system that will play BOTH SNES and NES games and another system that will play NES and Genesis games. They were like $50. I wanted one so bad but since my other systems worked just fine I'll stick with them. They also have all the new stuff too. (XBox, 360, PSOne,PS2,PS3, PsP, and N64, which I forgot to mention earlier.) and a PLETHERA of DVD's, Anime, and CD's. All new and used of course. Their prices were great!! So, I just picked up a SNES and Genesis controller and "The Crow" soundtrack. Woot for stuffs.
Dean got a TON of books and some really awesome tomato's. I also picked up a couple Badger W window clings for dad and 10 mini-CD's for Iggy. (Sorry I didnt get 20, I would have bought out the whole store. I had to save some.)
We ate at a couple of places. My favorite was the Ethiopian restaurant. The dish Dean got was AWESOME, though I dont remember what it was called. I wasnt too hungey so I just got a Teramisu. Then we went to the mall for a bit and had some pizza.

****WARNING: RANT*****

So, we went to (used to be INSIGHT) COMCAST today to have the names switched on the internet bill so I could start paying in full ($40/month) and it turns out that since the switch they're going to hike up the bill. BY ANOTHER $40!!!! So, if I didnt get the cable package I would be paying $78/ month JUST for internet!!! Then they're trying to get me to pay for local stations that I get FREE. I HATE COMCAST MORE THEN ANYTHING!!!! THEY MAKE ME SO FUCKING ANGRY!!!! WHY DAMN NEAR $80 FOR INTERNET?!!! WHYEEEEE?!!! So I'm shutting it off. I DONT WANT CABLE and I dont want to HAVE to get cable JUST TO HAVE THE INTERNET!! The package would be this: You get all the channels you get now nothing more nothing less plus the internet for $60/month. Sounds okay right? WRONG!! Here's where they get you. You have to pay a $200 set up fee for the cable and that STUPID FUCKING CLUNKY AS ALL FUCKING SIN box.
I'm going to check out AT&T's options to see if they're any better.
I'll not be on as frequent anymore but I can always use Dean's or go to the library and what not. I find a way. Hell, even if I have to make a habit at sitting at McD's for an hour just to return e-mails and check FA. Dont want to but something is better then nothing.

Now, in other news. Dean and I are going to spend the day in Madison for the Farmer's market. ^_^ We're going to have a lot of fun. I'll write more on Sunday about the whole trip.

So! Not much is going on.....as usual. Finished up packing some of Dean's stuffs. Things are slowly but surely coming together. ^_^ Yay.

On another note, I have ANTS!!! O_O But crazy thing, they pay no attention to the kitchen. They stay in the laundry area and I have NO IDEA where they are coming from. They seem to disappear during the day and come out at night. I've just been vacuuming them up but I cant seem to find their source or destination. There is no open food anywhere. The only thing I can think of is that I have a nest outside my back-door and an open spot under the door for them to get in. However, I cant get to it because Dean's hutch in the way. >_< Nrgh! STUPID ANTS!!! I'm going to go to the store tomorrow and pick up some ant killer. You know those little house things that have killer ant food in them.

ah, what else? OH! I went and did my IRR "soldier muster" today. Found out that my unit is being mobilized in October. yay. <-- Sarcasm) If Christie decides to go then I will "re-attach" myself to the unit so that I may mob. with her. Hooray for more adventures!!! ^_^ All I can hope for, is that it will be as UNEVENTFUL as last time. It was simple and nice.....but really REALLY ANNOYING! If we get mob'd with "Sgt" Nelson <--She only got her rank because she sucked someone's %$#@&***%$^##) I'm going to personally break EVERY Counting Crows CD she has. Then throw them in the porta'shitter and poop on them. Nyah.

In better news, Dean and I went and saw Hellboy II (The Golden Army) It was okay. I still liked the first one better. I'm not much of a Hellboy fan thought the characters and story concepts are pretty neat. Dean liked it a lot. ^_^ It had some pretty cute/ funny moments but also some REEEEEEEALY CHEESY ones too. But what do you expect from a "comic book to movie rendition." I give it ** out of 4 stars just because the creatures were neat looking.

Okay I'm done now. I'm going to head off to bed.

OMG Second day in a row!!

So yeah. Its like, RAINING CATS AND DAWGS!!! O.o So, I'm gonna make this quick before the power goes out again. >.<
Anyway, when I got home around 1a.m.-ish I noticed we were having an electrical storm. ^_^ It was really beautiful and you could go out and observe it without getting wet. So here is a pic I took. NOTE! You can see the larger images in my PHOTO's link. ^_~ FYI.

I managed to snap this off right before going inside. ^_^ For some reason it looks funny on here. o.o Not quite sure why though. Hmmm, ah well. I'll figure it out in the morning.

My cat likes Cantaloupe. Or should I say, Musk Mellon. Since American "cantaloupes" arent really that. Original cantaloupes come from Europe and are more "warty" in texture and I believe darker too.
Anyway, just thought I'd share some fun stuffs. ^_^ More to come later in the morning.

I gotta get in better habit of updating this thing. XD Anyway, not much is going on. Just got off work. Whooo 10 hour work days!!! >_< Plus "on call" Saturdays and every other Sunday.....yeah.....SO! There wont be much time for any "web surfing" other then checking e-mail and updating Xanga.
I do plan on getting rid of ALL my art galleries around the net sometime soon. I'm just getting bored with it all. Not to mention I dont have time to take commissions or requests any more. *sigh* Ah well. I think I'm going to get an ARTWANTED.com account again. I liked that place. You can post ANYTHING!!! And you get a ton of feedback from other artists. Even art teachers! Plus its a great place to put on business cards with NO porn or "dirty" images. I'm sure there are "tasteful" nudes but thats about it.

What else. OH! If anyone is interested in some AnthroCon pictures, Harui has some on her xanga. I LOVE Prax!! His fur-suit is SO FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! ^_^ It makes me want to finish putting mine together. Sadly though, I think I'm going to drop out of the fandom for awhile. I'm just getting bored with it. Not in a bad way, I just need to take a break from it. It has been at the forefront of my hobbies for the past 8 years. I just think its time to move on for a bit. I do plan on finishing the last of my commissions and then deleting ALL of my galleries, probably by the end of the month. Providing FA is up and running again. >_< I also, think that this year's MFF is going to be my last con too. I'm not going to sell anything there either. I'm just going to peruse the dealer's den and the alley. Maybe even talk with some of my favorite artists and get some more tips.

While I was at MFF last year, er well, the year before, I sat with Beer_Horse and she taught me some neat tricks with colored pencils and the PrismaColor colorless blenders. Needless to say, colorless blenders are magical when applied to Prima colored pencils!! ^_^
THIS YEAR! At AnthroCon I managed to talk a bit with Xain_Jaguar and she taught me how to blend markers really well. ^_^ How do you do it? Well you're supposed to lay down your "flat" color, the lightest color of the...uhm..."thing" you're coloring. Then put down a darker shade. BUT while its still wet go over it with the lighter "beginning" color! and vuala!! You have a wonderful blend. ^_^ You GOTTA BE QUICK THOUGH! Otherwise it will dry and look funny. XD Paper has a lot to do with it too. I dont recommend trying this on your mother's dinning room table on computer paper. O.o It will bleed VERY bad and she will be VERY angry with you. SO! Get super thick paper!! Like Bristol or, if you can afford it, some Prisma Paper. Or even Copic paper. But that's CRAZY expensive. >.< The brand of markers DO make a difference as well. I personally use PrismaColor EVERYTHING! Except paint and Copic Markers, which are VERY magical and VERY expensive. XD
So I hope that maybe this year at MFF I can hang out with some artists and learn some new tricks and maybe even hang and have dinner or something. Who knows maybe attend a sketch party or something. ^_^ I need to go to more of those. I hear they're great fun. OOH! OR!!! I could host one!! ^_^ That might be fun...hmmm...but....not quite sure what goes into those. >_< Nah. I think I'll just stick to the simple stuffs.

All in all this doesnt mean I'll DISAPEAR completely from the fandom. I'll send off a few "phantom" pieces of art for con books and such. Just to keep my name known. But I think I'm going to be Neshiu or JenI from now on. Tiberius just didnt suit me. XD Though the character is awesome. :P

Okay, I've babbled on long enough for the morning. Caesar is mowing at me and wants his breakfast and I want to go to bed. (-_-) SO! Night Night everyone!! Er morning? I guess......to those early risers. AH HELL WITH IT I'M GOING TO BED! ^_^

Anthrocon and stuffs!

So, yeah. Harui and I just got back from AC on Monday. It was fun. I made close to $600. Whoo! Anyways not much else is going on. I'm trying to help Dean with his house. We've managed to put the trim town yesterday and put together the loft bed. Fun Fun Fun! XD Okay, well not really.
AC was rather uneventful. Aside from Sinha's funny kitchen. LOL! Which flooded to about an inch of water AND the sink puked. o.0 eeeeeewwwww septic tank. He's getting a new house though so it'll be nice for him.
I met up with a lot of people I talk with online. Talked mostly to Rew and we are going to plan a dig next time we go. ^_^ That should be SUPER AWESOME! Cant wait.
Lets see what else.... OH! We went to a bunch of super AWESOME restaurants. I've never eaten so much at a con. ^_^ But thats where most of my food went. So yeah. That was about it. It rained the whole time pretty much in the morning and in the evening. *sigh* No biggy. We still managed. ^_^

My house is still a mess. I'm trying to do a little spring cleaning on my three day weekend. Getting rid of a bunch of crap I dont need anymore. Plus rearranging the whole house AGAIN since Dean has most of his stuff moved out.
